Brewery & Tap Room (10)
We here at Double Mountain are firm believers in the true face-to-face of “facetime” where you interact with the people you are here with, rather than being online! Sorry for any inconvenience.
Well, that all depends on what kind of view you are looking for. No, you can’t see the river or the mountain directly, but we think you’ll be glad you stopped by! We have views of great pizzas and beer! We have views of great music (check the calendar of events).
Yes, there is outdoor seating on the sidewalk along the front of the building. Tables are limited to 2 or 3 people, depending on the table location. Wait times on warm days may vary. Pet’s are welcome outside, please let the hostess know.
Yes, we have several salad items that are gluten free, and the sandwiches can be ordered over a bed of greens or without the ‘bread’. Sorry to say that “No”, the pizza crusts are not gluten free. Hope this helps.
We are located in downtown Hood River, Oregon between Cascade and Columbia on 4th Street. Hood River is about 60 miles east of Portland, Oregon via I-84 on the east side of the Cascade Crest.
Unfortunately, we don’t take reservations. We are a popular place to visit and dine. When the Taproom is full we start a waiting list. To keep it fair we simply seat you on a first come first served basis. Put your name into our system and the hostess will text you when your table is ready.
At this time we do not take food To-Go orders over the phone. You may come in and order food-to-go and have a beer while you wait. We will gladly package it to go.
Yes, dogs are welcome, outside only. Please let the hostess know you have a pet and would like to sit outside. These tables are popular on weekends, so expect to wait a bit.
Double Mountain can host some large groups and/or events only when time and space allows. Hood River is a seasonal town that can be extremely busy at certain times of the year. Generally, we can’t accommodate any groups during the summer months, holidays, and most weekends for the rest of the year.
January – May: Weekdays and some weekends if the event starts before noon.
June – September: Weekdays if the event starts before noon. No weekend days.
October – November: Weekdays and some weekends if the event starts before noon.
Nov 15 – Jan 2nd: Weekdays if the event starts before noon. No weekend days.
Not at this time. As soon as we can… you will see the update!
The vast majority of our hops are grown within a two hour drive from the brewery, in the Yakima Valley of central Washington and the Willamette Valley just south of Portland here in Oregon. Our location affords us the opportunity for regular contact with the hop growers, and we make a point of traveling to the central storehouses in Yakima at harvest time (usually September) to “rub” hop flowers from different field lots in search of the best aromas. We use lots of hops in our beers, so this is important!
