BREWERY POSITIONS

Double Mountain Brewery & Cidery is a private craft brewery located in Hood River, OR.  We’re seeking hard-working self-motivated team players to join our brewers.  Full-time employees receive benefits including health insurance and paid time off (PTO).  All long-term, eligible employees are able to participate in a 401k program with employer match, food and merchandise discounts and of course, beer & cider.

HOOD RIVER TAPROOM OPENINGS

If you enjoy working in a fast, fun, and friendly environment then please read on! We are looking for fun people to join our team!

Double Mountain has been a staple in the Columbia Gorge for 14 years now, making craft beer and New Haven-style thin crust pizza, sandwiches, salads, and a variety of appetizers.

Open Positions:

Cooks: Kitchen experience is required and pizza experience is a plus. You’ll be required to obtain an OR Food Handlers card. Compensation is competitive, all cooks receive tips.

Prep Cooks: Kitchen experience is a plus, but not required. We encourage anyone that wants to learn to apply. Shifts typically run from 8am- 4pm. Compensation is competitive, all cooks receive tips.

Bartender/Server: 2-4 days per week. Restaurant experience is required. OLCC & Food Handlers card will be required. Must be ready to work in a fast-paced fun environment with a smile.

Dishwasher/Busser: Restaurant experience is a plus but not required. Minimum wage + Tips.

PORTLAND TAPROOM OPENINGS

Open Positions:

GENERAL MANAGER

Position:  Full-Time, Salary commensurate with experience
Location:  SE Portland


SUMMARY
The General Manager is in charge of all the operations of the Portland Taproom, including but not limited to:
financial performance, guest experience, event coordination, food quality, and staff development. The individual
must have excellent organizational skills, people skills, and be able to solve problems under pressure with a smile.
Essential Functions (Duties include but are not limited to):

  • Maintains a perfect guest experience by continually improving food quality/presentation, beer

presentation, and the overall Taproom vibe that is friendly and welcoming for all guests

  • Meets restaurant objectives by forecasting financials, preparing an annual budget, scheduling

expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions

  • Plans menus by consulting with owners; estimates food costs and profits; adjusts menus

  • Controls costs by reviewing portion control and prep quantities; minimizing waste

  •  Avoids legal challenges by conforming to the regulations of the Oregon Liquor Control Commission

  •  Determining system/process improvements and implementing change

  •  Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

  •  POS system maintenance (New Items/Buttons, Pricing, Troubleshooting, Upgrades, etc.)

  •  Able to perform all Bartender/Server/Cook functions as needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years of restaurant management experience or equivalent

  • A passion for beer and hospitality

  • Self-motivated problem solver, critical thinker, well-organized, and resourceful

  • Ability to manage others, resolve conflict, foster teamwork

  • Excellent written and verbal communication 

  • Detail oriented

  • Exemplary time management skills

  • Great customer service skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  •  Able to work all shifts and flexible schedules including some weekends and holidays

  •  Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and move kegs up to 140 lbs

  •  Strong knowledge of OLCC and Food Handlers regulations.

  • Frequently requires standing/walking/bending throughout the shift.
